Severe Weather Procedure
1. Due to sudden, severe weather, stoppage of all play occurs when the main tent sounds 5 consecutive air horn blasts.
2. Resume play when 5 air horn blasts are heard.
3. Referees may also stop game at their discretion (visible lightning).
4. All players must leave the field if #1 or #3 occurs.
5. Games missed or stopped due to weather will not be rescheduled due to large number of games in the tournament, nor will refunds be given if all games aren’t played.
6. The Main Schedule of Games
will be followed at all times.
Example:
A) If a 4:00-4:40 game is stopped at 4:10 due to weather and the game is
resumed at 4:30, it ends at 4:40.
B) If a 4:00-4:40 game is stopped at 4:40 and stoppage extends beyond 4:40,
the game is over and the team should report to its 4:50 game.
Other Procedures
1. Please make sure games start on time. All fields have games running continuously all day – there is only 10 minutes allowed between games. Games will be started and stopped at the same time with the sound of an air horn from the Main Tent. Even if a game starts a few minutes late, due to late arriving teams, the game must end when the horn sounds. The teams “on deck” can take the field as soon as the prior game concludes, but on-field warm-up time will be limited. If a referee has not reported five minutes prior to the scheduled game start time, notify the Field Marshall so the situation can be resolved.
2. An ATC will be on duty for all games to coordinate medical assistance for injuries. EMS will not be on site. Call 440-238-7333 if there is a serious injury requiring an EMS. Please do not call 911 for an EMS. We have set-up special arrangements with Strongsville Police and Fire crews to respond immediately when 440-238-7333 is called.
3.
Registration staff will be
located in the Fieldhouse at Foltz field. If all of your forms have been turned
in (payment, waivers), you do NOT need to register. All waiver forms have to
be on file with us for teams to play.
All fees must be
paid in order for teams to play.
If a completed waiver form has not been turned in yet, turn it in at
the Fieldhouse. If fees have not been pre-paid, they must be paid at the time of
registration. College Coaches: please pick up your player profile
binder’s and coaches badge at the field house.
4. We have five sites: Foltz, Strongsville High School, Darice Fields (Strongsville), Buckeye fields (next to Buckeye High School in Medina-- 15 minutes away from Foltz), and the Brunswick High School fields. Coaches are responsible for checking their schedules and allowing for extra driving time for games at Buckeye fields and Brunswick fields. Please be attentive to the prospect of significant driving time between games.
5.
FOR OUT-OF-TOWN teams traveling by BUS :
New this year is a Bus
parking procedure for those traveling on buses. There is a designated BUS
PARKING area and a BUS PLAYER DROP-OFF area. See the Foltz field map for the
designated areas. It is the coach's responsibility to pass on this information
to the bus drivers.
6. Have fun once you get here, the volunteer staff has worked tirelessly to make this a smooth-running, fun-filled event. Please remember that ALL personnel running this event are volunteers-- if possible, be nice to them. Have you hugged a volunteer today?
